Peter Thompson

Peter Thompson is a broadcaster with ABC TV and Radio.   Peter hosts the weekly ABC TV program “Talking Heads” – a series of conversations about the lives of prominent Australians.  In 2010, "Talking Heads" is in its sixth season.  He presented Radio National’s “Breakfast” for 8 years and the flagship current affairs program “AM” for 6 years.

He is Director of the Centre for Leadership which provides communication advice to public and private sector organisations.

Peter is a Professor and Fellow of the Australia and New Zealand School of Government, teaching executive programs in communication and public policy.  He's also an adjunct Professor at Macquarie University's Department of International Communication.  

Peter is the author of several books, including “Persuading Aristotle:  The Timeless Art of Communication in business, negotiation and the media” – and – “The Secrets of the Great Communicators”.He holds a Master of Public Administration from Harvard, an MBA from the Australian Graduate School of Management and a BA from the Australian National University.
