In February 2007 new seed was collected from the cabbage tree palms, red cedars and sassafras.  The yellow berries from an as yet to be identified tree were also collected and sown.

Unfortunately only the red cedars were successfully germinated.  Advice was sought from a local nursery about propagating local rainforest species, but to date we have had no success in propagating other seeds.  The cedars are to be planted out shortly, and further seed gathering carried out.
