In 2005 the Centre for Leadership accepted an Envirofund grant from the National Heritage Trust.  Called "Protecting High Conservation Value Riparian Vegetation along Trimbles Creek, Kangaroo Valley" the project involves fencing a section of Trimbles Creek, the building of dams for alternate stock access and the planting of thousands of trees and plants grown from seed collected locally. 

The Commonwealth grant will supplement funds provided for the project by the Centre for Leadership.

The project is part of a modest contribution being made by the Centre for Leadership to the global effort on reducing climate change.
